Polly's Pies

Coming in, I had low expectations. For the longest time, I thought this restaurant specialized only in pies. How naive of me. Anyway, Polly's is basically your Marie Callender's or Coco's knock-off where the restaurant serves as a bakery/restaurant. 

We came in for breakfast here. The inside of the restaurant reminds me of an alpine cabin high in the mountains of Germany. Even though I've never been to Germany, let alone Europe, I'm sure this is what it'd look it. 

We ordered basic breakfast fare, pancakes, hash browns, eggs, toast, etc. After awhile, if you've gone out enough for breakfast, they all seem to taste the same with slight subtle differences (unless you're patronizing fast food restaurants where the eggs taste like plastic). But I do need to mention how delicious the cinnamon bun was and it's definitely a big one ("that's what she said") for the small amount you'll pay.

What made our experience enjoyable was the service. The wait staff was on top of things, even going out of their way to make my daughter feel comfortable. A great stop indeed.
