For many coffee lovers, coffee and pie is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. Here at Polly’s Pies, during the month of July, you can get the best of both worlds with our Kona Coffee Pie! We are offering this pie as a special part of our Days of Aloha Hawaiian-inspired menu:
- The Difference Is in the Roasting
Coffee beans lose 25% of their flavor within the first two weeks after roasting. That’s why we’ve been roasting our own coffee beans since 1976. We only roast in small batches so that our customers always have the freshest tasting coffee. Usually, we have Columbian coffee beans, but during our Days of Aloha this summer, we have fresh Kona coffee beans. Kona coffee is only grown in Hawaii and has a rich aroma and a smooth taste. Kona coffee (or our regular coffee) can be paired fantastically with chocolate pies or cheesecakes—but we’re not stopping you from trying any combination that crosses your mind!
- The Difference Is in the Pie
All of our pies are made fresh daily. This is also true for our seasonal or special pies, like the Kona Coffee Pie. The Kona Coffee Pie features Kona coffee cream, macadamia nuts, toasted coconut, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup. It’s the perfect treat when you need something sweet and flavorful to get you through the day!
